Space Answers for Confluence — Privacy Policy

Space Answers for Confluence (“the app”) is provided by RojyMart, a software studio in Madrid, Spain (“we”). Contact: support@rojymart.com.

What the app stores

The app runs entirely on Atlassian’s Forge platform (“Runs on Atlassian”). It has no servers of its own and sends no data outside Atlassian.

Inside your Confluence site, the app stores:

• Questions and answers that your users write, as Confluence content in the space where they were asked.
• Atlassian account IDs of the person who asked each question and of each answer’s author, and which answer was accepted. These are kept with the question so the app can show names and check who may accept, edit or delete.
• Space settings chosen by a space admin: whether the app is enabled, which groups may ask and answer, and which people are notified. These are kept in Atlassian’s Forge storage for your site.
• A small index per question in the same Forge storage, so the list of questions loads quickly: the title, the asker’s Atlassian account ID, the date, the number of answers, which answer is accepted, and the id of the question’s page.
• One Confluence page per question, holding the question and all its answers, so Confluence search finds them. Only the app can edit these pages. Deleting a question removes its page.
• A “Space Answers” page in each enabled space (“Space Answers (app)” if a page with that name already exists). The question pages sit under it, and the app posts comments on it that mention people, so Confluence sends them its normal notifications.

The app does not store names, email addresses, or any data from outside Confluence. Names and avatars are displayed by Confluence from the account ID at the time they are shown.

Who can see it

Questions and answers follow your Confluence space permissions: only people who can view the space can see them. We, the developer, have no access to your content. Atlassian gives us operational logs about app errors; the app does not write question or answer text to them.

How long it is kept

Data stays in your Confluence site until it is deleted there. Deleting a question removes it, its answers, its page and its index entry. After the app is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes its Forge storage under its Forge data retention rules; questions remain as Confluence content until a space admin deletes them.
